I always felt that this was a song about a woman who's having sex w/ a lover when she doesn't really want to. Jupiter is this imaginary image that she turns to, kind of like when ppl who've been abused dissociate during sex, it's her escape, a non-existent friend she talks to and asks for support. "This little masochist is lifting up her dress" -- she's intentionally inflicting pain onto herself by "lifting up her dress", i.e. having sex despite not wanting to do so. "Thought I wouldn't have to be, for you, a magazine" might be referring to her perception of her lover wanting her to be more like the unreal girls in magazines, which is a source of deep disappointment. |
