to me this sone is about how people try to rule the world and how what the news or media shows us isnt really whats going on, but what they want us to think, as in everything is ok, and not to mind whats really going on " Teaching you an artificial truth, that you will grieve no more, that you will die no more" "Narrow minded mercenaries, slave traders, soul collectors, Send a promise of destruction to those who will not kneel" - to me thats saying how we have modern day slave traders (corporations, sweatshops ect. and how if you dont kneel to them, and do things their way, they will find a way to destroy you) The doom you promised me may come, Im not afraid You cannot save me I am the counterweight No need to save me; for I am the counterweight And I will grieve no more, I will die no more this last part is telling me how hes standing up against all the corruption, and how he knows whats really going on, and hes the counterweight, the one thats gonna swing right back, and fight back and he doesnt need to be saved like they claim you do |
