I think at the beginning its about a "bad kid" "slap my wrist with that sweet consequence". and "what are we to do with you" its like....what are we gonna do with this person. and then i think something happens to this "bad person" and he realizes he wants to be "new again" and start over. i dont know. it could be anything haha it could be that taking back sunday is starting new with yet again, another new guitarist. But i dont know :D |

I think this song is about a number of different things. It might be one of those songs that it can mean anything to YOU. To me, i think its about two friends (in some parts) that have drifted apart or one of the friends have done something wrong and theyre begging for forgiveness "Before you buckled at your knees". The other friend, that won't accept the apology, feels that the friend that's begging for forgiveness is "dead to them" hence, "whats it feel like to be a ghost?" I also think it can be a rocky relationship from start to finish. how it started out the guy just wanting to get some, while the girl wanted a relationship. And it ended badly. Just an my observation :p |
