It seems to me that the overall message can almost be inferred from the title. It is about being young, or embracing the essence of youth. Desire, passion, gratification, impulsiveness, fearlessness, et cetera are hallmarks of youth and the qualities of life cherished in the verses of this song. When I see the title, "Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyant", I tend to think of it as a metaphor for the young (we boys especially). Confident, risk-taking, ostentatious, sexual, wanton, invincible, cocksure, know-it-alls. That sounds about right, doesn't it? |

This song is about Fathers 4 Justice, an organization of political activists focused on equal parenting and father's rights. The "Fun Powder Plot" was a nickname given to the House of Commons protest where two of its members threw condoms filled with purple flour at Tony Blair. The video of the incident is worth watching. It's pretty impressive that the guy nailed him from so far away. |
