ok my view verse 1 someone fucked up a really good relationship because he/she couldn't see the beauty that it truly made, and the really regret it, and in the process of fucking everything up they see what could have been and realize how much they not only hurt the person they lost, but themselves as well. that's verse one. chorus is saying how that even though they're apart they realize that they are both trying to move on from what they left behind, and they both realize it effected them in a major way, to the point where they had to work on who they were inside and change themselves to let go of each other. verse 2 this time they both feel they've lost something profound, close, and beautiful, and there's a feeling of regret or sorrow that they hold for walking away, or for not trying hard enough, besides that they both feel that where they ended up was a place where everyone's opinion on the matter different, and that the realization it was over was over bearing and that people talking about it so much was too much and disheartening bridge saying that though they moved on,and pretend they've forgotten of gotten over it, they'll never fully be over each other no matter how hard they try and that they will always always always be fully, and truly depressingly, in love with each other. my view on this song, hope it helps |
