| I agree, both with your interpretation and AbbeyRoad's comment. I also think that your interpretaion applies to the entire song. Some christians want "perfection", to be accepted by God and the world. So they create for themselves a faith that is mostly man made and man centered but hangs on to a sliver of truth, "your darkness stands on a thread of pinhole light," and that way you end up contradicting yourself. By trying to protect yourself from persection your created faith is "a heart made of glass" that is easily shattered by the "charming grenade" of the world. | |
