This song is, without a doubt, about Big fish. Not The Big Fish, Big Fish. About 30 minutes into the movie, the dad says to his son, "This isn't how I go." I could tell you of a girl that I saw. I froze in the moment, and she changed it all." is about the part When the dad says, "They say that when you meet the love of your life, time stops." When telling his story, it shows him meeting the love of his life, and time stops. Part of the movie (Including the part where he meets the girl) takes place at a circus. There is no disputing this. It would be ridiculous to try and do so. I hadn't seen the movie until a couple months ago, but I always knew that's what this song was about because it's so obvious. You only need to know a couple key points in the movie to be able to connect the dots. Regardless, great song, and great movie. |
