Assuming AllyS2 is correct, this isn't in the booklet, but after he says: "Throw your little hands up" it seems to me that he pauses and then ends with: "and pray." |

"They'll talk about YOU at the drop of a HAT" Though I'd be curious as to what the dropping of a hyde sounds like. |

The lyrics are posted on their myspace blog. 1) Second verse starts, "Two timing your state of mind" 2) "play the evil lover"--present tense. 3) officially, it's spelled "That Boh b-Boh" not that it really matters. Decent song. The new album can't come soon enough. |

It's pretty apparent that the lyrics at the bridge are: "and the ground might be sliding away" So... sweet listening skills. Or was is more copy/paste action? |

| Tegan and Sara – Paperback Head Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Technically they wrote the song together, but Tegan laid down the tracks and Sara penned the lyrics. "the other two songs we wrote together, we wrote from our own homes, and when I sent Sara the music for one of the songs, a couple hours later... she texted me, "Oh my God, this is so good! Doing vocal tracks right now. I'm fucking Madonna." And I was like, "What?!" It turned out really cool. It was very inspired. And she even threw a Material Girl reference in there." http://www.undertheradarmag.com/interviews/tegan_and_sara_studio0709/ |

Opening line: "You have to become what your fans see" Think this might've been one of Sara's Britney-influenced writing sessions. |

| Silversun Pickups – The Royal We Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I always imagined the scene as a Hamlet-esque takeover from a crooked, tyrannical king. He's paranoid because he holds all the power and isn't wielding it in the most morally upstanding of ways. He used to do a little right before he hit his prime: prior to inheriting the throne he was a quiet and unassuming, dashing young prince, but when he was crowned he went on a power trip. As for the "said you believed it but believing won't fly" and "renaming your father's will": he claimed he would carry on his father's noble ways, but changed the rules to make room for his own agenda. "you'll be relieved" = relief from a position (the throne) and the "sparks of the friendly fire" are the attacks from his own subjects. The injuries are inspiring to those whom he has been oppressing, people looking for a revolution. They would be the ones who left the note signed the royal we. But I think it could also be sung from the point of view of a country that's fed up with bull from an ally, and now they lie in wait surrounding the kingdom, seeking revenge. "Aim straight for the feed" would be cutting off the supplies, starting the siege. However, I also find fattychem's ideas intriguing. Basically: we'll never know until someone pokes and prods an answer out of Brian. |

"But at this point of the last year I am happy to be alive and" Pretty sure it should read: "But at this point, after last year I am happy to be alive and" |
