| this is a big fuck you to all their fans that are angry with the fact that atreyu is changing their sound. (i do like atreyus older work much better than their latest. this ablum is much better than lead sails and paper anchors by far but still not as good as their older stuff)...... the opening line says that they have worked hard to get where they are and are proud of it, not a shamed in the least. then he says he doesnt need the aproval of their fans that are upset with their change "i dont need their aproval". "bleeding is a luxury" means making music is a luxury. the chorus can be translated to say that life is menacing. the fans need to relize that bleeding(making music) is a luxury and their going to live and make music the way they want, they earned it, they put their "blood sweat and tears" into their music. "bear a big shit eating-grin" is telling the fans to eat shit if they dont like it. "now bear the burdon to choose your fate" is saying they had to choose and this is what they chose. "grind your teeth till it hurts" when people get angry they grind their teeth and he says that he doesnt care. "seize the day take your beatings lead the way or decay as you fall down" is saying that they will take the shit that people say about them because this is what they want, they dont need any aproval they | |

i think its about people in power such as polititions or the people on wallstreet like the A.I.G bank thing where they got bailed out then they used the money given to them by the tax payers(a.k.a you) to go on vacation eventhough they're rich and succesful their lives arent really all that great, they suck. kinda like george bush. he is rich, has a family, he was president. in charge of the greatest country on earth. but not many people really liked him i dont know how to say it its about people who we are suposed to look up to and want to be like (the rich, famous, successful) but shadows is saying their lives arent as great as you think they're dead inside acting like their happy . dancing around sayin look at me but their dead inside i dont know if you get what im sayin but thats the best i can explain it |

I think this song is about a boy named peter and a young women named Katie who is beyond beautiful. they both like eachother a lot and although peter was scared of something at first(unsure of what). this song made him realize that he needs to "dance on the edge" and let go of his fears because he could be perfect with katie, but would never know if he didnt tell her he wants to be her boyfriend now. he is sincerely sorry he hasnt been much of a boyfriend so far but he is going to strive to be the most perfect guy possible.
