| A great thing about music is anyone can pull any meaning they want out of it. For this particular song, this is what I take out of it: I'm going through a divorce right now. What I hear in the music is the battle within ones self to control the crazy irrational thoughts you have when dealing with something like divorce. "Stay strong in the sight of insanity" If you've ever been through a divorce, you know how crazy you seem at times. The title itself "Driving down the Darkness" is simply saying, you have to keep those dark thoughts and impulses in check. And if your spouse is vindictive evil bitch, it may seem like she's is playing god with your life. | |
