Say Anything – Their Notions Lyrics 13 years ago
I'm kind of thinking this song is sarcastic -- just Max's commentary on the general American view, considering the lines "At Prague in sausage stalls
But still we hit the mall
In search of a Starbucks
Americans like us." I think he's just saying Americans think they're better than everyone else for no particular reason.

Say Anything – Sheep Lyrics 13 years ago
"It's my song, it was never about you at all." I just wanted to point out the irony of this line... :P

Say Anything – Peace Out Lyrics 13 years ago
"You can just go get high with all of your dumb friends." I love Max, but why is he suddenly looking down on people who smoke?

Say Anything – Overbiter Lyrics 13 years ago
Would anyone care to venture a guess at the meaning of the title? Is it a comment about himself?

Say Anything – Admit It Again Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree with pippintook4. The first time I listened to the song, I immediately thought of Pitchfork Media in reference to the website with Satan as its figurehead. Not only does the pitchfork/Satan thing make sense, it's just commonly branded a "hipster" website -- a term, of course, used in "Admit It!!!" prior to this song. Clever.

Third Eye Blind – Wounded Lyrics 13 years ago
Like someone else previously commented, I've been a Third Eye Blind for a long time (since I was 8, and I'm 21 now), but I never really got into this song until now. When I was younger, I didn't really listen to the song because the beginning made me sad, so I'd skip over it or not really pay attention. Two years ago, I went through what the girl in the song did. I've been feeling very depressed about it lately, and somehow I randomly came across this song and looked up the lyrics. I know now what to do when I'm sad about what happened to me. This song really has saved lives. Thank you, Stephan Jenkins.

Say Anything – Yellow Cat (Slash) Red Cat Lyrics 16 years ago
Whenever I listen to this song, I think of communism. Mainly the Soviet Union. The Yellow Cat/Red Cat shirt I have may be why; it reminds me of the hammer and sickle design on the red flag... But I don't know if that has anything to do with this song.
