Definitely my favourite song off the new EP. I like how it tells a short story of his life as he goes to visit one of his old friends. Basically, is Jamie (Or a character) recounting his past and how times where better/worse/same. Later he realises that he misses the old times a lot more than he thought he would. I think the start and the end highlights this best when he says: "boys like *him* don't shine so bright" And it changes to "boys like *us* don't shine so bright" It shows how in the end hes just one of the mates who made up his youth and that he misses those times. ...Just my take on the song |
