yes the first part of the song till the (..... wings the heavens denyed me) is voiced from a man, but then God comes in with "its like your deaf to my voice" and so on. then the mans only respones are in the quotes twards the end. |

yes oh, sleeper said that this song is voiced completely from the devil and Gods only responce is "if you could see like me you would see....." i did some research of this and son of the morning is another name for satan, it refers to the star venus that i guess rises in the sky just before the sun rises, but the sun is a symbol for the Son (jesus).
Satan is just trying to say that he can win because the human race has fallen and can be easily tempted and lead to sin and turn away from God....but then the finisher obliterates these claims haha :) |

the first song is about the devil calling out God, the middle songs are about God speaking to people and raising an army. and the finisher is Gods reply to the devil.
this song i don't think is about rape but just any mans lust and lustfull acts twards women. but God wont give up on him and has died and bleeding so that the man can still be the one who pleases him. but then man just can't understand why he deserves this grace. |

the first part is that they have heard the sound of heaven (probably trumpets signaling the end). but some people are still consumed with this would will get what they are promised and go to hell. and you cant fun from God and turn your back on him forever because the end is comming and nothing stands between him and you. its your choice to give your life to him. |

ok its very obvious that its talking about self injury. "you have the scars to prove it, its not the first time, getting deeper" this is saying cutting yourself and its getting worse every time. "roll down those sleaves, don't let them see how you've coped". rolling down the sleaves to hide the scars from when you cut youself to cope with emotional pain. "gripping around your throat, strongest cruch" this could be the end of you but there is a way out and your loved ones can help. and then in the end it gives you hope and that you need to pull yourself together and move on with life.
and also the music video is about the same thing. it doesn't show the two mens faces till the end, but the two that get out of the car and beat him up are all the same person. he is beating himself up! obviously about self injury. but not emo. |
