Well folks my interpretation of the song is the following: I think it deals with a girl who has never been really loved by anyone and thus she brutalized and when a guy fell in love with her she only just used him. And as the guy became aware that she was just pretending he's killed her. The line "cold inside my arms you are" could refer to that and also the line "something in your heart so cruel" could also be interpreted as a knife stucking in it or a bullet or something like that. Well I might be wrong. |

Couldn't it be possible that the lyrics describe just the effects of a chloroform anesthesia. The insanity and incoherent are possibly caused by a state of consciousness quite related to the effects of the dissociative narcotic diethylether. Maybe a raper or murderer just narcotized his victim and these are her last thoughts running through her brain befor fading to the narcosis. Well this was my first notion when hearing the melody without focussing the lyrics... |

Well folks, my interpretation of the song is the following: I don't think that the song's describing the death of a single person but should rather describe each person's impression of an unexpected fading out. the lines "Could you imagine the final sound as a gun" and "Or the smashing windscreen of a car?" shall describe how sudden and unattended you can find yourself moribund allone though you felt yet very alive a few minutes before. And I guess the dying persons mentioned, probably weren't religious at all and now they recognize how wrong they were. For me this song has a very religious aspect, and if I say religious than I mean religious defined as the believe in something that is bigger than the earthly life and not the religiousness related to confessions. But this is only my opinion, don't think that there is one single right opinion on PT-Songs. I think this is one of the best PT-songs among many others. So far please don't mind my grammar mistakes as I'm not a native english speaker. |
