I think this it's about someone who is so in love with their significant other and everythings perfect. And then one day he overhears the person talking and they're describing how they don't love the person back or maybe that they cheated on them, and the person isn't tryig to make a big deal out of it so they're being oh so casual about it and pretending it doesn't bother them when in fact it's killing them but they're still in love withthat person and can't help it. Which is what I'm assuming the meaning for "I'm still painting flowers for you".
I personally think that this is one of the greatest songs atl has ever written. Their Nothing Personal stuff is good but this is more like their old days which is what made me fall in love with the band. I'm crossing my fingers that their next album is like this but even if ts not atl will always be #1 to me. |

this song is obviously about lil wayne and he was so in love with this girl and totally fucked up and broke up with her or did something and she broke up with him. and hes trying to apologize and get her back but shes already moved on and hes just wishing her the best but always has that hope that one day she will come back to him.
when me and my boyfriend broke up and we decided to see other people, this was our situation completely. at first he started texting me as like friends and then both of our feelings for each other came back and i was w. another guy. he told me to listen to this song and it brought me to tears.
i dont like lil wayne but i have to applaude him for this song. i think its one of his best. |

i actually listened to this song ironically the 23rd day me and my boyfriend (well ex now) broke up. it matched my feelings so perfectly that i listened to it literally 100 times that day. this is one of my favorite songs by framing hanley. |
