I agree, on the new album this is the one that has stood out to me. I also agree on your interpretation, i think perhaps all of these mixed emotions have resulted in an anger and a need to cause harm.. maybe to an unnesessary extent. |

I absolutely love this song, and though its open to multiple meanings, i believe that this is about an unconditional love for someone who perhaps has grown cold over time. The chorus with the line 'I'll take you to the river' might suggest one halfs longing for the other to give in to their emotion/feelings. (the water element representing this emotion) 'We can swim forever' can perhaps back my idea of this unconditional love. |
