"..you are so pretty" sarcastic compliments see through like rice-paper. when there's "light") And when I finally kissed him (He "finally" reluctantly/causiously trusted him) the whole world began to ring Lost like a bell that's tipping over With two cracks along both sides (Like someone said, reference to loosing virginity, but I think it was the girl whome he was in love with, and that "Judah" stole away here virginity.) And I knew the world was over so I took a look outside And watched the fires that were reaching Up to the weather vane and the tops of trees And the waiting scene and the Sunday dream They're all waiting here for me (So now his world's burning, and he's watching "other fires" which I think means meaningless sex of the party. Sunday dream, waiting for him after a Saturday party. I won't forget to lock the door Because with a match that's mean and some gasoline You won't see me anymore (He'll lock the door, saying "Fuck it, forget it. "A match that's mean", possibly the girl was the match and "Judah" was the gasoline that started the "fire" (meaningless sex) (also would make sense with the "Gas station attendants, tending to their jobs) Probably way off but, I think it could fit, in a more shallow way. |
