Given the "unreachability" / "space" between the two people, it is hard to show their "CARE" for each other. So give me reason to prove me wrong, to wash this memory clean -- one is asking a reason provided that there is something happened from the past.. Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes ...that made her / him aloof from the other. or established an invisible barrier to the other. or a strong forcefield was being put on around him or her... Give me reason to fill this hole, connect the space between ...one asking for one enough reason that they could stay with each other given the distance / unreachability, or a third person involved might be... Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies across this new divide ...enough reason for the "relationship" to continue / ignite for real... Across this new divide, across this new divide ...across this new journey, new phase. |

i fell in love with this song the first time i heard it. at the back of my mind, this song is only for him from me :) for me this song means... leaving. leaving per se. either the guy leaving or the girl leaving or both. either way, they will just go on their own separate ways. the one who is singing is asking the other if there is still a chance for them to be together despite that they are apart. as the lyrics says: Would I fight with an angel, Would I leave here with you. the speaker i think is also in doubt, doubting what if he / she will find another while they are apart from each other, as it says: Or would I take it all back if If I find something new? one more thing... despite their dilemma of being apart and their status in question... their feelings of the one or or the other or both or whatever is strong. the speaker is asking the other if their feelings is mutual... asking the other if it is a-ok for them to go on and bring their so-called relationship one step higher, as it goes: I know there's something out there; I know there's something I fear; Run away from here; I know there's something more to this; In this dark room, nothing that shines; Run away from here... ...hmm might not be a good explanation... but thats what i got... hehehe... or maybe im just connecting this to my own dilemma... hahahaha... sorry peeps.. anyways...
