it could be played at a wedding, i think! if you take it like, when theres fights and things start getting hard youll still be together. because no ones gonna love you more than i do! even if the song is about a relationship falling apart, its not so obvious that this song couldnt be at a wedding. either way i think its a really pretty song. |

I think that maybe the couple in the song are forcing each other to stay together. The fire that's burning them up is the arguments. They keep fighting and it's burning them up. The love feels like its gone and their hearts are stones. Then while they were fighting and fighting their hearts sparked and they realized they do love each other.... Or maybe they are going through a hard time,like they are going through a series of bad events. They loose their jobs, money... and it is a test on their relationship. so, the hard time they're going through is burning them up. And their hearts being beat up against each other could be the bad things that keep happening to them. But it ended up bringing them closer together, and sparking their love. |

I agree that the song is about a husband and wife. Because they are holding hands and saying they are going to always be together. She wants to go out and do new fun things, travel and get out of the house. He wants to sit at home, (on the wire.) And he tells her that he wants to. Hes lying, and hes never going to leave, but she believes him. I'm using the husband as the one who doesn't want to leave the wire because I have been in a relationship like this before. He never wanted to do anything fun. Looking back, it was a big waste of my time and I won't ever be with someone like this again. How does she manage to make such sad songs sound soo happy? |
