Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name Lyrics

This is one of the most dramatically intense Iron Maiden songs and it's not surprising it's the band's favorite. To me it's about a man within a prison cell who is going to be executed and he is wondering why he is so afraid of dying since he believes in God and that He will grant him life after death. While he is being brought out of his cell to be hung he really begins to question if God is really real and he is even more scared. However, he knows it's okay that he's afraid since it's only human nature and he still believes that he will live again in heaven. I'm not trying to be preachy or anything I'm just giving my interpretations. Awesome tune,IRON MAIDEN RULES!!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY love this song! It really makes me feel a strong sense of hope whenever things are going downhill. The lyrics tell that God is always willing to help you if you are willing to ask. He loves you no matter who you are. God bless Stryper!!!

U2 – October Lyrics

The October album focuses mainly on most of the band members' Christian beliefs so I feel like this song is based on how nothing on earth can last forever but through God your spirit will live on forever in Heaven, and in this case the death of Bono's mother and him knowing that she is alive in the afterlife with the Lord. This may be one of the shortest tunes i've ever heard since it only lasts a minute and a few seconds but I just can't get enough of it. It's so moving and emotional.
