Since he left and was "So predictable" they have a hard time letting people in
Its not meant to be a break up song but benji said that it fits for any relationship gone wrong pretty much, but its about his dad for him in the making of the vid
So really it could be about whatever fits for you, a friend, a bf/gf a parent, whoever messed you up like that basically. |

I think that just means that when they have kids they're not going to make the same mistake, not that they actually had kids when they wrote it. Now Joel has a daughter though, but its probably been at least 10 or 11 years since they wrote this |

I think by this song they're saying how they didn't fit in in school, but thats alright because they're gonna look back and laugh when they're older. Also Joel is saying that he doesnt care about the other "clicks" because he found his own, probably meaning GC
Its one of my all time favorite songs, Good charlotte is the best, I don't care what the haters say.
Anyway, I think the video is hillarious with all the undergrads people saying funny things like "All the weight I've lost has gone straight to my ass" and "could I have sex in exchange for sex?" you just have to see it, you'll lmao and die of laughter xD |

I love this song so much, now in 09 most people I know haven't heard this song, even the "fans" but in my oppinion its FOB's best! Not that they're other stuff isn't good, because its awesome, but this and 7 minutes in heavan are my favorites. I love how songs like this, dead on arrival and grand theft autumn can just put a smile on my face any day
Basically the lyrics are about how he likes someone but they don't like him because they have an impression of him already that isn't who he really is. Or at least thats how I get them. I like the lyrics because "Im not the way you think I am" really makes you think, do I really know a person, or do I just see them a different way than they are?

But, I think it's a love song focusing on one of Joel's previous relationships...the one before Hilary. Because just some of the things I've heard him say about it and about her, it makes sense. Especially the mountain part. I mean, I heard that after they broke up he'd gone like to Japan and stayed in the mountains to reflect and fund himself again. I believe it was a mountain he was at...I know it was definately japan.

I totally agree. I think it might be about the girl he thanked on the young and the hopeless thanx... Jennie or something like that. And if he was talking about that tour in Japan they did and going to the mountains thinking about her, then it would make a lot of sense. And no, whoever wrote that it was about their dad, its not, it could possibly be about the fans, but I think they just dedicate it to fans when they sing it, they do that with a lot of songs, its seeming like its about love and/ or a breakup |

I think this is a great song to listen 2 if you're depressed. I heard on some interview that they wrote it because of fans who wrote them about suicide but also because of when Benji went though a hard time as a teen. Its a pretty inspirational story since look where they are now after all they went through! |

*MY OPPINION* Its about what benji (or joel) would do on the last day of their life. I dont really think its about suicide, because then why would they have a song about someone wanting to commit suicide a few songs after "Hold on" a song trying to stop fans from committing suicide. Unless its about benji feeling that way when he was younger, because that was part of the inspiration for hold on. |

Pete said its about when he ODed on Atavan. I know it sounds like its about a girl, but its not, a lot of FOB's songs r like they talk about 1 thing, but they really mean another. I never used to get it, until a friend explained this song to me and I got into the lyrics of their songs better. If makes me like them so much more, I dont really care what anyone says, FOB is in my top 10 bands, pete writes deep lyrics and the music kicks ass! |
