Ok so first off, the title quixoticelixer. Quixotic is a hallucination state of mind. It could be imagination, it could be intoxication. An elixer is a potion, more leaning on intoxication. So plainly, its about drugs. "Kick back a little bit just to watch and see Getting sicker by the minute with debauchery" at first, cool this is fun yeah! but as time goes by, you fall in its trap. "Whatever your pleasure I'm your punk" Later in Anthony's life, alot of his musical pursuits are put on hold due to drugs, the punk to his pleasure. "You never look at very mellow impressions Smell you with your going to hell expression Quixoticelixer might But it will probably not fix your bite" I'm not sure but i think he is reffering to his old girlfriend Jennifer. They had heroin sex sessions and she always got angry at Anthony and there relationship was in turmoil. Not even the quixotic elixer can "fix her bite." "Dedicated mind did a medicated state Is a highly overrated fate" Again back to his musical pursuits, he had all thes great ideas that were put on hold because he always got high. As for the chorus, "I love this weather It's a perfect storm Just keep it coming In its perfect form" I think his high let him fade away his problems temporarily. People really confuse this meaning. It's totally about how he wants to die. Not necessarily suicide though. part 1 -In funeral -worn out faces (family and friends) -Tears everywhere -bright and early for their daily races (life's a pointless competition) -no tomorrow (future doesn't matter at this point) part 2 - The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had. (he enjoys when he dies in his dreams. it gives him relief.) -When people run in circles It's a very, very Mad world (people live for no reason and accomplish nothing of meaning) part 3 -Children waiting for the day they feel good Happy birthday (He doesn't want to live if happiness is scarce) -Made to feel the way that every child should Sit and listen (he remembers the depression of strict school and how kids all have the same expectation and how there IS a perfect child. Not just grades and discipline but with hobbies, interests, etc.) -Went to school and I was very nervous...Look right through me, look right through me (explaining depression as a kid.) |
