| Circa Survive – The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose (Album) Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Hey man, no offense but your interpretation is all wrong. This song is based on "The Count Of Monte Cristo" By Alexandre Dahme. (Not sure on the spelling of the last name there. :/ ) The book is about a man named Edmond Dante who pretty much gets fucked over by everyone he knows and gets thrown into jail. He comes out thirsty for Vengance and completley changes himself. (Don't call me by my full name) He finds a treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. He becomes fluent in ALL languages. (Would it be easy to repeat the first line?) One of the characters (Maxamillion Moral) is paralyzed from the waist down. (This is paralysis. . . .) He becomes an expert regarding different poisons. (It feels much better to know that you wont feel a thing. Also the title of the song is a direct qoute from the book.) In conclusion, Edmond builds himself up as another person to get his revenge on all of the people who have turned their backs on him. (Did you ever wish you were somebody else?) You were right about the problems he had. (My minds not a well, It won't run dry.) You do have a great interpretation though. I really suggest reading the book too. :) Circa is a great grouping of musicians who are very talented and clever. I can't wait for the new album they're writing! Later! - Ridge Higgins |
