This song seems to be about obsession with a star or a star of the singers life. Possible this person is gone or dead, Te voir tomber au combat moi je n'oublie pas - Watch you fall in combat me I don't forget and it also talks about turning your nose up to fame/glory (cracher sur la gloire) Whoever it is he's desperate to get them back and to protect them. |

I think this song is about special friends, or friends with benefits, who never had any kind of official relationship structure. C'etait juste un aventure (It was just an adventure) implies sexual experimentation between them and the notion of exploring which is in a lot of indochine songs. I think it's about the confusion that those kinds of relationships always end in. Je n'ai pas grand chose a te dire - I haven't got anything important to say to you Et pas grand chose pour te faire rire - An nothing to make you laugh Car j'imagine toujours le pire - Because I always imagine the worst Et le meilleur me fait souffrir - And the best makes me suffer He's not going to tell her he loves her or anything, he just wanted to go on like they were and perhaps she's moved on because the relationship got old, she got bored or she met someone who she wanted more from. It also seems like a destructive but addictive relationship. As for the sun/moon think that could imply the relationship was hidden, a thing of the night or that it's a nice phrase in french =p I don't think there is a heartbreaker involved because I don't think this song is about a conventional love. |
