I absolutely LOVE this song, it's so great. I think it's about someone's boyfriend/girlfriend dying, and the person is saying that even though they're dead, one day they'll die too. And then they'll be together again and everything will be perfect. I heard it on Harper's Island. R.I.P Chloe and Cal. Two of my three favorite people on that show, and one of the cutest TV couples. |

It's really about irony. How someone's dying in war and kids are laughing and playing about it. One person tries to succeed in school while someone else is dropping out. Someone breaks up, writes a song about it, and it becomes your favorite song. And it really is strange when you think about the irony. This song is great, and I love the video too, it's so weird, I love it! :P |

Sounds like he was friends with someone who was a liar, seems like a con man, and he was the only one who stood by him. Eventually, even he got fed up with him, and now all the people his friend has stolen from or lied to are coming after him, and now nobody wants to or is gonna hear it. So he better find another solution. It sounds very similar to the boy who cried wolf. |

"It's 4:03 and I can't sleep without you next to me?" Who sleeps in a bed with their one year old or younger kid (at the time he wrote this)? It's not about his son, no doubt. And what kind of one year old writes letter? It sounds like he's talking to someone who's gone, so unless he broke up with his girlfriend, it's not about her. He says "How I refuse to let you go... even though you're gone." I have no idea who (specifically) this song is about, but I think it's about someone who he loves/ loved, and even though their gone he won't forget everything the person did for him and how they changed him. |

This song is about a guy who's been through hell and back, so now he's telling all of the people who are depressed or the cutter-type people that they need to stop complaining, stop blaming everything on society, and stop with the "Woe is me," because he knows how it is and knows that the only way out of the madness is to fight. When he says "I created the sound of madness" He's saying that he's the one who went through it all, and by "wrote the book on pain" he saying that he knows everything about sadness. |
