Wu-Tang Clan – Triumph Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Based on what you're saying I don't think you know much about religion. There are groups of people in every religion that interpret the doctrine or "the word" or "scripture" in many different ways. Look at Christianity. There are multiple branches of Christianity (i.e. Catholicism, Methodists, etc.) . Islam, same way (Sunni, Shia, etc.) "If you are in the 5% nation, you believe that white people are the devil" = very, very false. You cannot generalize one premise of a doctrine for an entire group of people. |

System of a Down – B.Y.O.B. Lyrics | 15 years ago |
you're joking right?? if you wrote that in april of 2009, SURELY you know about halliburton? bush and cheney became rich off of the weapons created for the war, and cheney's halliburton reveled in oil. "winning a war on terrorism is like winning a war on jealousy...at no point in time will we say, 'Well, looks like we got 'em all, everyone loves us again!'" - David Cross |

Neil Young – No Wonder Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"That song from 9/11 keeps ringing in my head. I'll always remember something Chris Rock said." SadXuHuang I think the line after that "don't send no more candles" refers to a benefit concert for the 9/11 victims that Chris Rock hosted, and I think he did in fact tell the audience not to send anymore candles because people were sending them instead of donations and materials that people could actually use. I'm not sure about Nelson |
Neil Young – The Painter Lyrics | 15 years ago |
To me it's about how becoming too ambitious can overshadow what's really important in life, hence "She did the work of too many/ But in the end, she fell down/ before she got up again." "It's a long road behind me, and I miss you now." Neil is saying he's had enough life experiences to know that there is more to life than thinking one must accomplish every goal, and he wants this person to come back to reality and enjoy the little things in life rather than attempt to do it all |
Neil Young – Harvest Lyrics | 15 years ago |
no one has commented on this song in almost 2 years! what's going on here?? definitely my favorite and i'm going to have to watch "a taste of honey" now |
Tom Petty – Learning to Fly Lyrics | 15 years ago |
CantTrickMe is right, the song is in fact about the first time Petty tried crack (he also had a past history of using various amphetamines). I don't know where you got your information, but read the books Runnin Down a Dream and Conversations, before you call people morons. I doubt you yourself even read any biographies, probably just wanted to make yourself feel better. |
