| The Doors – You're Lost Little Girl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| set aside all folklore/history of the doors and jim, to me this song is about a boy who loves a girl, girl dumps boy, girl ponders the circumstances, boy ponders the circumstances: writes a song. whatever this song means, it is a beautiful song, and i can totally make my own meaning and love it, empowering. | |

oh wow, this song is visceral! almost like a parody of "zippah-dee-doo-dah" with that obnoxiously happy word "zoot" repeated solely in the chorus, but the verses being explicit descriptions of homicide/suicide scenes. i really love the line "bloody my room, bloody my socks". it reminds me of this serial killer documentary i saw on hbo about a serial killer nicknamed mr. freeze or mr. ice, it escapes me at the moment, but he says something along the lines that at one point as he murdered a guy there was so much blood that he had it inside his shoes, of course which he threw away, hahaha. |

| i have to add the comment that this site is truly an amazing idea. for me, TRUE MUSIC is on the same plane as art has been to others in the passed (expressionists, dadaists, surrealists) and its immportant for channel for people to be able to discuss their interpretations of meanings of songs with others, since after all songs can't be hung on walls and displayed in galleries. | |

GhostTiger, i never made that connection to pink flamingoes, which is SUCH A GREAT FILM. The only line i can honestly recall from it is the scene where they have the "evil-doers" of the plot tied up "convicting them of Asshole-ism" an excellent line! for me this song is comparable to the last track on "you kill me" release, "paradise". which is about being your average human who works a minimum-wage job, upon which the employee becomes disgruntled with the people they work with, customers and co-workers alike. working in a grocery store for a year plus i can feel these "McJob" lines such as "would you like fries with that ma'am?". NOMEANSNO is a band that will never get recognition for their musical/lyrical accomplishments. i will honestly say that i hope it stays that way, they are a diamond in the rough, to use a cliche phrase, they are better off being respected 100% in the underground then being thrown away in a culture that values mediocrity and stupidity in a modern culture that should be about expanding the minds of those who live in it. thank you NOMEANSNO. you are truly a gift to those of my generation |
