I think it's about a relationship, where two people are in love, but one changes in a different direction, and how things can't be the same anymore. Things were happier before she changed, but there was no going back because things like that happen. The structure between them both didn't fit anymore, and their building broke. They used to have water, and it changed to wine, which they weren't happy with. But the whole setting of this song is sad, and I think the person talking was sad and heartbroken because he misses what things used to be like, and helpless because it couldn't ever be like that again. Water can turn to wine, but water can't turn back to wine. |

So, looking for song lyric meanings, and opinions of meanings, mostly all there is here are complaints. Get a life, would you? Really, this 'argument' should not have started. As for their sound, I've been an RA fan the whole way, and where every one of their songs are amazing, this album kicked ass. The lyrics are phenomenal, thought provoking, and deep beyond something most lyricists cannot reach. This album reminded me a lot of the songs, "ready to fall" and "the good left undone" which are five star songs from their other albums. As for meanings, I agree with some things I saw pertaining to finding what's out there, what you've been waiting for. Something or someone that left you, and you look in various places, including the past, for answers and direction for the future. |
