i could say so much about this song--love it--but all i will say is: the 11th line definitely sounds like "cryin for the horny things" (as opposed to "haunted things"), which would've juxtaposed interestingly with the next line "cryin for the unwanted things"...(as in, unplanned pregnancy?) |

thanks so much for that! as fun as it is to muse on the meanings of lyrics, when different interpretations clash considerably it's nice to hear it from the songwriter himself. and that meaning rings so true...by the time he gets to "stretch out your legs and dance with me tonight" he's already convinced me as a listener to relax and let go, but he keeps going with his "it's alright"s... |
