A great song. I like how it is a lovely story and how it is structured that way too, it makes it refreshing to listen to, and not just another verse-chorus-verse-chorus-end song. I am not completely oblivious to the meaning of it but as silly as it sounds, dancing around your kitchen while cooking to it = a dreeaaamm :p

That's a really good way of looking into the song. I never thought of it in context of global warming and it makes sense to me if it is about that. Personally the song meant a lot to me although I looked at it from a completely different angle while listening to it. I listened to while I was in the process of moving to a different country and I had to leave my boyfriend that I had been with for a long time, and there was a stage where I wondered whether we were meant to be and if eventually things will work out, never mind the distance. I guess it can apply to all the little traps life sets up for us that we can fall into. I suppose I managed to turn the words into something they would meant to me and apply them to my current situation, and that is why it is such a well written song. I like thinking of it in terms of global warming too, it illustrates things very well, but I guess you can make anything of it :) |
