honestly i thought this song was about sex, "A little off center and I'm out of tune Just kickin this can along the avenue But I'm alright" meaning its not perfect but hes still going hahaa, anddd "Cause it's easy once you know how it's done You can't stop now It's already begun You feel it running through your bones and you jerk it out" meaning hes getting used to it, and hes not stopping, and when hes about to ejaculate he pulls out... or jerks out hahaa, at least thats my interpretation :P |

First comment (: Firstly, Johnny Foreigner are truly amazing ;D Secondly this song is obviously about a couple in love, you can tell 'cause... "i cant lose you in crowded rooms, but this year we're not linking arms"- even though they arent linkin' arms he cant lose her cause hes either always got his eyes on her, or she just stands out from the crowd cause he loves her, "i will wait for you outside carparks, outside busy shopping centres, i will wait for you at work when all your early shifts run late. and sometimes in the bullring and always when your sleeping"- obviously just gestures to show he loves her, "how its not hard to break your heart"- not hard beacuse he loves her so much its easy. |

| As everyones already pointed out its about a teen on drugs, but i think the chorus is about a guy feeling guilty because he shouldve seen that his freind was in trouble, and even though he knew how to save him he didnt realise till it was to late, and hes sayin the "biterness" as in his ignorance, and bitterness for not noticing his friend was taking drugs, but es "downing" himself and saying hes bitter because he feels guilty. | |

i think this is about someone who is pretending life is good, and he admits he misses everything in his past because life was so easy back then and now he dcoesnt see why everything isnt easy any more and pretending everything will be fine if they just live fast and die young. the line "We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end" shows hes makin out its fine to die as long as he had fun in life but followed by were fated to pretend shows hes only pretending because he was ated to have a bad adulhood and pretending everythings fine is the closest he gets to happiness. |
