i found this song acouple weeks after my ex broke up with me. and even though he broke up with me i still can relate to all of it. when he says "I've practiced this for hours, gone round and round And now I think that I've got it all down And as I say it louder, I love how it sounds." this means that either he is breaking up with her. or telling ones self that it is over and that u dont need them. because i can say i have done that. so once again i think sang could go both ways. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!!! |

lol. i love this song. i have to say everytime i hear this song i think of my ex and i laugh. this song relates to so many people and their past relationships. my ex broke my heart and broke it even more when he got into another relationship soon after the break up. but now im looking up and realizing he wasnt worth my time or my tears. and i hope that he realizes that hes missing out and it puts him through hell. my fav line is "truth be told i miss you and truth be told im lying..." (story of my life) |

| This song is about a relationship not with God. Im sorry but I really dont see how it can be about God. you can so tell with so many lines in this song that it isnt about God. Its about two people falling in love and they cant believe it is happening to them and they dont know what they did to deserve someone as great as them. I love this song... | |

I have to say this song is really powerful. And it has been on repeat for the last couple days for me. But I think this song is more like a journey. In the first paragraph the person is lost and their holding on to anything that brought them comfort but they realized that they are lost and that they are so scared when they hear thunder that they cry out to who ever brought them comfort but they learn that they are down to one last breath...they're dying because they are left alone. In the Second paragraph they are pleading for help because they feel like they are dying and that maybe dying isn't that bad. and they need that person back. In the third paragraph, the person realizes that their relationship is truly over. and they start regretting and realizing that it was just a mistake. and that when they were with that person they thought they were on the right road. But now the only thing that can give them comfort is God and that they really need his help. In the forth paragraph though they are pleading for God to help them and to hold them. because they feel like they are dying and that they need help because if not they will feel dead. In the fifth paragraph, they feel like everyone knows that they feel like dying and they are pitying them but they are starting to get back on their feet cause they think there is still something left for them. But they still wish that one person were to come back and be with them because they think they can still make it through and there is still enough love for them to survive. And the last paragraph is saying they need to be held and comforted still because they dont know if they are dying. Once again, i am in love with this song. |
