this song makes me think of how my bf felt when we broke up and he wanted me back. its about a guy who loves this girl and they had a relationship but she doesnt want to be with him anymore so he is trying not to lose her but he does which breaks his heart and she gets with someone else easily but he is still hung up making him feel replaceable pick you up later on what to do? it doesn't matter 'cause you get what you want - reminds me wen my bf was tryin to win me back he worried about where to take me cos he wanted to inmpress me so its about a guy worrying bout impressing the girl he is losing through and through and if you shatter everything that we've got will you call me on occasion if you like it or not, oh no - she wants to break up and hes devastated and asks if they can still talk cos theyve obviously been together a while n she is a big part of his life, this makes me think of my bf wanting me to still chat now n again even if we didnt get bak togehter so turn it up, take me down from the wall, it doesn't matter 'cause you get what you want after all - take me or leave me cos im so in love with you il do anything u want even if your treating me bad and having me when u wnt rather that always and now you've shattered everything that we had and you call me on occasion just to see how I am I'm hanging in - she is trying to hav a friend ship and he is coping badly with the breakup, before in the previous verse they were talkin bout break up cos it says "IF you shatter everything WILL you call me..." now it says you do call me so now theyve broken up but now time teaches me to pretend it doesn't matter 'cause you get what you want in the end and now you've shattered everything he looks a bit like me - she always got what she wanted which was to break up (for anohter guy) and he is having to move on in time because she got what she wanted but he is starting to see her badly cos he did everything for her cos she got wat she wanted replaceable it's cynical - she moved on easily from him cos hes replacebale call me useless; just you wait put me down and call it fate - said they wernt meant to b broken bridges, wasted hate - because she got with someone else it has ruined there friendship and what they had so just stand beside your man - shes with someone else the boy ain't wrong act like I never turned you on - pretend you didnt love me all I do is cry - he is still hung up on it and is more so that she isnt n that she moved on n possibly liked this new guy before they broke up and soon you'll find you're all alone - wot uv done to me will come back round and youll b in my position you call me on the telephone - she will then miss him who'd have thought that you'd regret all those evil things you said - but its too late this time now as friends, we say goodbye I think there's something in my eye - he is still gutted but cos she did the whole friends thing with him before now thy actually cnt b any more and you watched me die at least a thousand times - he took the break up rlly badly n she new he felt like that but it's great to hear you're doing fine - is happy she is hapy tonight, too late to fight but you've got inside this naive head of mine - naive thinking theyd b togethet always n tht she wouldnt hurt him but she has n is with soeone else now time goes by you knew you would you knew you would I need to understand replaceable |

I think this is obviously about an ilagitamite child not just a divorce or break up, I can't decide exactly which woman or child he is referring to in the song though. I think though it's about a man who has a normal life with a wife but his marriage got stale and they grew apart so he started having an affair which ended in the other woman getting pregnant, I think his wife found him cheating red handed " I got up a little too late to lie" I think its either this way round and he stays with his wife and the boy he is talking to is his illigitite child or its the other way round where he leaves his wife and child for the other woman can't quite decide I'll tell you what you wanna know But boy, you better listen close. People gonna tell you lies Don't let it comes as a surprise. - this bit makes me think hes talking to his illigitamite child because other kids will say the man is not his dad That woman's on my back again. - his marriage is going bad she is nagging which drove him to an affair I know she's got the best intention - he feels bad about feeling that way about his wife When you began to relize You know, got your daddy's eyes And there's something I wanna say: I love her too. - loves the other woman too although this makes me think hes talking to his wifes child because he is saying although he loves the child he loves this other woman and his other child too And all of this has got nothing to do with you - the affair and him leaving has nothing to do with his son because he still loves him And I'd like to stay but I can't because I've been fooling around - leaving for th other woman And I know that you called because you never even knew that it was hurting me When you put it on the other hand. You're old enough to understand That glove will bring it all the light - seeing it from my view will make sense of it I didn't say that made it right. when your older you will realise marriage and relatipnships aren't simple and you will understand why i am leaving even though that doesnt make what i'm going right Sometimes people get tird, sometimes marriages doon't always last and people fall out of love And I woke up a little too late to lie phe got caught cheating red handed And dreams should last a long time marriages are a dream of a life and they should last but people fall out of love and marriages fail This is not what I'd call goodbye he will still see his son now i've gone through it all i think he is talking to his legitamite son with his wife who he has fallen out of love with and has been having an affair with another woman who i think he has gotten pregnant because of the emphasis on children in the song because its called daddys eyes. he is telling his son the truth that he is leaving the sons mum (his wife) for another woman and he wants to tell him properly because there are rumours going round. He doesn't love his wife anymore because sometimes relationships fail and people give each other too much grief etc he got tired and had an affair and how he has to leave because she caugh him and he has been fooling around. I think his son is quite young and is mad and called him and shouted at him because he doesnt think he cares but his son is too young to relate to relationships and although he loves his son he lovs the other woman too. to me tht makes perfet sense |
