Someone on youtube said he thinks it's about wanting to be in love (keyword: "wanting"). My brother adn I think it could be about making decisions that affect you personally and majorly, like wanting to be in love. Also "we could set it on fire for them" means they could have information, or be able to make someone's relationship falter and fall. That could indicate "wanting to fall in love" again as you could have "set it on fire for them" in order to make the woman (or man) you love single. Also, pugie ism't a word, put Pugilist and Pugilism is, the are both a fighter or a boxing/fighting art.
"in context" in my opinion says how she said something complicated or gave an expression that "in context" meant this: *sings red socks pugie*. "wasps nests" is something that stings, sowing that what she said, or something, hurts or stings. "heart swells up which make us explode" shows , again in my opinion, how they are being affected by whateever has happened. at the end it says "ah waht the hell, we set it on fire..." showig tht they must have thought "ah what the fuck, i'll do it and ruin whatever i could set on fire"

I think it could be about, just from skimming over the lyrics, maybe about Promethius in Greek Mythology. He gave fire to the humans, so Zeus tied him to a rock, face forward. Then an Eagle came every day to eat his liver (his liver would grow back over night). So, while typing this i went into deeper thought and now thinking maybe it's about making a mistake and self punishing, or getting punished by people. Or maybe holding a Grudge? I didn't go into much thought but ya know... |

It might be to do with Global Warming, I thought. People are always saing we should look after the Earth for our children, and our children's children. The line "if something won't heal, our children won't help us out" relates to that maybe? Either that or to do with wasting something, or doing something for nothing. |

I deffinately think it's aout addictions, specifically drugs perhaps? "I know your mouth you know my wounds" maybe meaing he knows how to take or where to get drugs, and the drugs (or anythingelse addictive, like gold) know how to make him better?
If you read all the lyics yourself, you can pretty much relate them all to addiction and/or drugs. Side effects, normal effects etc too... |

before i read the lyrics here, I thought it was about a riot/protest, judging from the lyrics, perhaps to build a hospital, with the last verse describing everyone clearing or giving up. I guess not now? |

I think all of you are getting confused. Fig #1 is on the Mathletics B-Side Vinyl. Big Big Love Fig #2 is on the album. To my knowledge, Fig #2 has added lyrics. I think its about building a relationship, but when ever there is an argument he is worried about losing her/him (let's be open minded lol), or he is just in general worried about losing the partner ("besides you sleep I SLIDE" , sliding away) but everything's ok when she smiles, which is like a kiss, or when she kisses.
I know that's vague, cheesy and kinda on the spot, but it's something... |
