I love this song. I dont think it's just about love, although that's part of it. It's a metaphor for life and going through the motions of everyday life. |

| Mariah Carey – Always Be My Baby Lyrics

Personally I think that this Mariah Carey thing and also other pop music artists like Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers, Pussycat Dolls and other "talents" have a decent voice, marketable features, like decent sized boobs, and fairly quiet personalities, just crank out money for the corporations (major fucking record labels). and all these songs are shallow, yet somehow many people can somehow relate to them, and many people are unfortunately unable to see through the corporate greed behind these cookie-cutter artists. And I do not think that these songs are bad, or that these people have poor singing talent, but I absolutely hate, with every fiber of my being the greed and money there is to be made through these artists, and the shallow people who buy these records and cannot seem to understand anything aside from their own feelings and buying something that sounds good, but in essence, has no meaning. |

| Innerpartysystem – Don't Stop Lyrics

On an obvious level this song shows celebrity worship and narcissism, and how it's really getting out of hand. If you look deeper though, you might be able to see the connection between the system, "the man" (i.e) Neo-Conservatives, and how they ruthlessly cut off benefits for the poor, support corporate greed and lie and cheat people into giving them power. And the lyric "the road I walk is paved in gold to glorify my platinum soul" was actually originally written as "the road I walk is paved in cold to glorify my platinum soul". Also it shows how these people are in a way, turning into "Big Brother" in George Orwell's book 1984. In 1984 there are three main socio-economic classes, the Inner party (which makes up only 2% of the population), the outer party, and the Proles (underclass). The Inner party is very greedy and feels they need to protect their wealth, so they rely on hoaxing everyone to work for them as slaves (conceptually). That's where Innerpartysystem gets their name "Innerparty" and then "system". |
