I agree with TheWrongGirl, plus she was just saying that she THINKS about her whenever she sings it...because she made a connection between her writing that song and what that girls mom told her. It's not ABOUT her. She did just get out of her marriage, so maybe she wrote the song about that? In an interview, Tegan said that "The Con" was when they were both going through break-ups so it was about that. Now "Sainthood", Tegan is in a new relationship so her songs are all upbeat and optimistic but Sara's songs are..full of anxiety, or something like that. Like she's still getting over her. ANYWAY, so maybe this song is about her ex? I don't know why her relationship ended, maybe it was infidelity? Who knows! I really like it, though. :) |
