I love this song! It is so inspirational! I love that it is a love song, it makes me think of great memories and gets me dancing. What I don't get, though, is that Jesus did die. Why does he say Jesus coulda died? It makes no sense! |

I really like this song, I would say it's the second best Notwist song after Gloomy Planets. I have no clue about the lyrics though. It sounds like they had to stay somewhere for a year, a year which he has compared to winter, but now they are leaving and are glad because nobody there likes them. He says the lights are out but that (the devil, you and me) is what they see. Maybe he means they are making assumptions because of a lack of knowledge. |

I thought he was saying "placeholder TURN to take up mine." I think the placeholder is holding his place at his ex's side. Maybe Elliott thinks he was just a placeholder too. He does say that she can tell that this new guy is a square. "He likes the way that you look now, like an open book." it reminds me of the song See You Later when he says "Saying how your better now since it killed all of your other cares." Theyr'e both about someone he loved now being accepted by someone who didn't except them before. Maybe the two songs are about the same person. It is a good song even though it is one of the ones I didn't think much of early on. |
