Well, first of all they are not a "Christian band." Yes, some songs are faith based but Jason himself has stated they are not a Christian band. I do not believe in God, or partake in any kind of religion but the religious songs that Lifehouse sing are absolutely beautiful. They are so powerful & amazing. I think it's great that there are some as dedicated to a religion as Jason is. It's beautiful. The music is beautiful. BUT....each person interprets songs differently. With this song, & a few others, it is exactly how I feel about my husband. You can say that there is no way this song could be about a bf/gf/wife/husband/etc., and that's fine. I don't mind, but all that says to me is that you haven't experience such an immense bond with another human just like some of us are so lucky to be involved in. This song is how he makes me feel. We have an incredible relationship. So....carry on. :) Enjoy the music. Lifehouse is absolutely the best. No matter your religion (or lack of), we can ALL enjoy the beautiful songs they make. |
