| I agree, this song is great and it sucks for the rest of us who is listening to it before it becomes a huge hit because EVERYONE will play it over and over again. But they did that with all her songs before, like I listened to all her un realeased stuff before it came out on the fearless delux album and now songs like come in with the rain, are going to be played like crazy. but they overplayed, love story, you belong with me, white horse, your not sorry, etc. i'm still not tired of it! ad i still listen to all her songs practically religiously. lol | |

Well me and one of my good friends Cody had a long talk about what the lyrics to this song was actually about. I thought it was about this guy who has been away from his girl for a long time & he feels like everyone is fake except for her and When he says there's oceans in between us but thats not very far. He's just like nothing can keep me from you & then it really complicated me. But Cody decides it means He's in this world with people he feels aren't real and so is the girl he is singing about. And he is simply telling her that she had everyone make up her decisions for her and where to go and she's just apart of it. He loves this girl, when he says "You could be my someone, you could be my sea.." He's telling her you don't need to be a part of that world. I like who you are with me. Anyways, This is one of the songs I grew up too that I haven't actually appreciated until now. I remember my dad playing it for me when I was maybe about eight or nine because his band was learning it. & I'm just glad now I can see it from his point of view. Me and him are very much into music and lyrics. i'm glad I grew up to be that way. But yea, this song always reminds me of my dad :] |

-- I fell in love with this song the first time I listened to it. I listened to it over and over again until I got all the lyrics down. - I think any girl who has out in their heart & soul into a guy who just wasn't giving back the same respect in return can really appreciate this song. --- This is just my experience, maybe others have had too. but I'm in this kind of situation now. There's this guy I've had a thing for since 7th grade(I'm now about to be a junior) & back in November I gave him everything. I've never felt a stronger feeling with anyone before. Well, he decided to be with someone else. I was devastated. I didn't feel alive for 6 months after that(take that as mellow-dramatic if you'd like but it's the way I felt) until just recently we started talking again. Of course him and his girlfriend broke up. Now we are trying again. But really, I feel like I'm doing all the trying. I think about him constantly. Always worrying about him. He never calls, I've been trying to get to know him much more than he's been trying to get to know me. --- and i, ive got you down i know you by heart and you dont even know where i start. That part just breaks it all down for me. I feel like I know much more about him & he hardly knows anything about me. & I'll be right here hoping you'll come in with the rain. I think she is hoping he will realize how she is trying so hard with him and he might start. This song is basically about her not wanting to commit this much of herself to someone who isn't really paying that much attention to it. She wants him to get it. That's all. :/ I love Taylor Swift. Her lyrics are absolutely amazing and relatable. I love the fact that she writes her own songs, which is hard to find artists these days, who actually write their own. Hopefully he'll come in with the rain :] |

This song is perfect for how Bella feels in New Moon. She falls for Jacob but she has a hard time dealing with the fact that Edward left her. I really like when it says "He and I had something beautiful But so dysfunctional, it couldn't last I loved him so but I let him go Cause I knew he'd never love me back" -- Her & Edward's relationship was so dysfunctional because of the choice that she wanted to make to be immortal with him but he didn't want that for her. Not that he didn't love her..he couldn't. But I can't help but to feel sympathy for her when he leaves. In the book she goes months and months living in a numb state of mind. When she reconnects with Jacob, she starts showing caring and happier characterictics. But in the end we all know Bella & Edward belong together. Can't wait for the movie :] |
