Saosin – I Have Become What I've Always Hated Lyrics 16 years ago
I think the whole thing is about Anthony's drug addiction.
"Holy eyes bring back one
Never if you only trust your separation
I believe and then
I'll try to give in
Is one fall already bad?
Seems far, but it's true"
From this, I think he meant that God gave him a second chance (to fight the addiction). Then it talks about how he believed that he could do it but he had one time where he gave in.
Then in the verse after, I think he emant they talked about his addiction in two other songs.

"Whoever told you that
We will find a way to be this way
It's true, whoever told you that
Its fine to walk right outta control
It's true, whoever told you that
Thats fine I hope the best for you
It's true, whoever told you that
We try the best to be the best but look what you've done"
This is the part that confuses me. The "we". Maybe whoever wrote it is in the band and feels that the band tried so hard to get far and be famous and he brought them all down. Then they are wishing him good luck..
Idk. I could be completely wrong. It's just my interpretation. i used to think it was about lvoe, but I don't think so anymore.

Amazing. Breath-taking. That's all there is to say.

Sia – Lullaby Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree with your last comment, t bear. She's talking about praying. When she says
"Place your past into a book
Put in everything you ever took
Place your past into a book
Burn the pages let them cook"
she's talking about a very old tradition where you right in a journal or diary a prayer or wish and burn it. Supposedly the essense of the writing will rise to God.
And "send a wish upon a star" couldn't be any mroe obvious. Even if it isn't just about prayer it's definitely about leaving your wishes and dreams to a higher power of some sort.
