"S.o.S. to my mother, take the hinges off the door" I really like the imagery of that line, particularly because the metaphor really adds detail to the situation. She's not just telling her mother to open the door - she's crying out for help behind a door not only closed, but locked, and her mother needs to notice that something's up and forcibly remove the hinges in order to provide help to her daughter. |

| Building off what ArcadeEdge said, I think the very exaggerated nature of the song is hinting that it is not just one of those songs. It seems to me like the singer doesn't really believe what she's saying, like she's trying to convince herself because it's easier than dealing with whatever is actually going on in her life. | |
