devan, I think you might be over-analysing it too much. Not seeing the forest for the trees, if you like. All those meanings might come out of the story personally for you, and that's great. Some of that may even be intended in terms of personal application for all listeners. But this song is pure and simple the story of the betrayal of Christ, told in the first person through the eyes of his betrayer, Judas. As Sooner has already suggested. |
