Oh, in addition to what I just said above: "We turn the clocks ahead And hope to wake up" Supposedly time heals everything...but not this time. This is very very depressing. Good thing I happen to love depressing music! |

I think: To him, it's the end of the world, because he's lost the one he loved (a breakup, maybe?). "And when it hurts you know it's love." Sometimes you only realize how much you loved something when you had to lose it. Very very sad situation. But I can't really explain this part, "I know just about a million words, so I always know just what to say." Perhaps he's being delusional, saying he can figure it out, somehow figure out a way to fix the problem. But by the time he tries to find a solution, it's already the end of the song, and he's already left Earth, left this planet so to say. It's already too late to fix the breakup or take back what was lost. |

To clear up the one line, this is what I think... "And you're not drunk if you can't stay in your lane" It is like all the other lines; just because you can't stay in one lane, doesn't necessarily mean you're drunk. Like, just because you missed your exit, doesn't necessarily mean it's because you're lost... I also think that the song is not about death. In fact, it appears to be about someone's life - how they aren't living with the best they COULD be getting. Anyone agree? |
