| It could have been better. A LOT better. Some parts are catchy, but this is definitely my least favorite by them. | |

| Agreed with the first poster. I'm pretty positive this song is about causing problems for yourself, like not taking a step back and trying to think reasonably and rationally. But that's just my opinion. | |

| This was the song that drew me to these guys, and I must say, IT. IS. SO. AMAZING. It really has that "WE ROCK OUT LOUD" feel to it and there's a LOT of energy there. TFK may be the only Christian band I'll ever LIKE. They're amazingly talented, and I really respect the work they put into these songs. | |

For those of you who are slow, not all "rock heads" listen to music just for the music. Believe it or not, some of us actually do pay attention to the lyrics. Also, I've visited here a few times before signing up, and its irritating how quickly these threads turn into religious debates when clearly, that's not what they're intended for. And no, I'm not just blaming those of you who are religious, I'm blaming those who somehow think they can get away with insulting other people's faith. I may not be Christian, but even I have enough brains not to stoop that low. Takes two to tango, friends. ANYWAY. As stated, I'm not Christian, though I do believe in a divine creator, but I can see why people would think that this song is about faith or about God. There are a few verses that point in that direction. Nothing wrong with interpreting it that way. At the same time though, I've seen quite a few of their songs that really don't seem like they're trying to deliver any religious message. Either they're just rocking out (like in Rawkfist, fuckmazing song right there) or they're trying to get some OTHER kind of message across. In the case of this one, I think there are a few different ways it could be interpreted, as some people here have already done. Be open to those interpretations and draw your own conclusion from that, I say. Be it about faith, God, or not, it's an amazing, fun, energizing song, and I REALLY enjoy listening to it. |

I'm gonna have to agree with ebirdyca on this. I believe this song could mean one of three things. It's about the guitar player who left the band, Dave Smith. It's about someone who's probably on the verge of giving up. I can relate to this song, as I had a friend who was in the exact same place in life at one point. It's hard watching someone go through that and knowing that you can't do much to help them. Or maybe it is about someone losing faith in God. Interpret it how you will, I say. Personally, I'm more willing to bet it's the first one. |
