I think both he and the girl are fed up with life as everyone said but she was so fed up that she commited suicide. "You thought suicide was an alibi" he then talks about her in past tense "But you were always a mess, You were always aloof" and how he sings that "It was truth from the first to the LAST words that she read". And then I think the last part is about how he cant stop thinking about her "And she emerged from the dark Like a GHOST in my head" and he wishes he could have done more for her because now hes all alone and misses her. |
