In this song A Camp explains how powerful love is. It's even "stronger that Jesus". Since Jesus died for love. In the same song A Camp also explains that there comes a grand fallacy with it. Love is so very powerful that we do not see all the consequences any more. In fact, love can paralyze us: "You know that love can do you like a shotgun". Love makes us blind. Love makes us see only what we want to see. "We believe there's trust in strangers, any monkey looking like a savior". And even when we are told to be wiser, and hear the experiences of the past, we cannot be strong to prevent ourselves from the future harm it will do to us and eachother. "Pay no mind to what your mama told ya". Through out the song A Camp makes clear that Love is a great power, but makes us more slaves of our own emotions. They bring in that Love intentionally has a biological fuction: "That we bloom and breed and multiply". But Love is not what makes the world a better place. Even though we hope it would. In my opnion A Camp does not tend to say that love is a bad thing. They simply want to put into perspective the importance of love. It's not "the Alpha and Omega". |
