Well, this song I think it is pretty obvious.. how a good relationship can last through the hard times. It's probably my favorite song off of This Addiction, especially the opening lines. |

Going along with the religion theme, I'd just like to point out for: "So give me all you poison And give me all your pills And give me all your hopeless hearts And make me ill You're running after something That you'll never kill If this is what you want Then fire at will" It's like Jesus Christ's sort of.. uhh what would you call 'misison'. To ak all of the earth's sins and sufferings and then suffer on the cross (make me ill) and ultimately die (fire at will). I know Gerard's talked about not being Catholic anymore, but at the same time at some award (can't remember which atm) he wrote the whole CATHOLIC thing no his neck, explaining how they took a lot of imagery and darkness from the religion itself. Plus, the vast majority are cradle Catholics who've some what rejected the faith anyways, lmfao, like myself. But the way they piece it together here is really interesting. I found the above lyrics the most prominent in the fact that it was religious based, along with the obvious Gun in the Book you gave me, give me a reason to believe, etc. |

| whether he is religious or not, he's able to take 'stabs' at it regardless, correct? If anything, Billie isn't against the base beliefs, like the belief in the bible/god/jesus. I think he is just taking 'stabs' at the system of the church, the systema nd way Christianity is run, and the way some Christians today act and use (and abuse..) their beleifs. I don't think he is attacking the core beliefs themsleves. Although he could be, it's never bad for a beleiver to question and criticize their beliefs. | |
