I found some meaning (I know they say the songs have no meaning, but they've got to sing about something, even if it's nothing, because "nothing" is a theme, isn't it? My logic sucks, then.) in this one: It's about the band. I mean, they were originally DragonHeart, right? "Proud and so glorious" is how I'd feel if I'd just formed a band and actually got around to recording a demo. More so if our lyrics absolutely sucked and we had actually gotten a record deal. "Standing before of us" could have been a shorter, rhythmical way of saying "You're standing before us", because they're on stage. "Our swords will shine bright in the sky" because every band member has a sword because they're power metal ("Rules of Power Metal", anyone?) ... oh, no, wait... I don't get that one, but there are lights... on stage. " When united we come" could be "We come as a band". "To the land of the sun" Japan is known as the "Land of the rising sun" and they play there a lot... close enough? "With the heart of a dragon we ride" I'll skip it... "We are flying on wings in winter sky", "We're getting on a plane... in winter". "With fire burning deep inside", "With a heater on". "We are warriors of endless time forever and on", "Will we ever land? Am I supposed to practice my jujitsu up here?". "On wings of steel an ancient flight", "This flight is still friggin' long". "We see the powers that unite", again, I'll skip. "The gods will now send us a sign of battle once more", "Someone will announce we've landed!". "Through the valley we ride", "We're playing in Europe" (or I should have skipped). "Full of glory we soar," "whoo! No more day job... for now!" "Where the fights will be raging for now and for more," "Where there will be a mosh pit." "When united we come", "We come as a band". "And divided they fall", "If a band breaks up..." "Tonight you will witness it all," "Tonight you will see us live." "A land unknown we come so far," "We don't know where we are... all I know is we're supposed to play here". "We ride the night till morning star," "That flight was still longer than it should have been". "When colours fade to black and white" a)"When someone records us with a low-quality camera" b)"When we thought the picture would look cooler in B&W". "Your eyes come to sight," "Hey, look, it's a fan!" "With the vision of a great divide," "We're doing the Wall of Death now, everybody split up!" "You turn towards the other side," "You're going to Herman's side ("the cool side")". "You think you run but you can't hide", "Oh, you're not going to do the Wall of Death at all? Should have gotten out earlier, then." "The dead can not ride" "That's why you should have gotten out earlier. And also why they call it the Wall of Death." "Over high seas and mountains," "Over Europe and the Pacific", I guess. "We fly to the heavens on wings of a dragon tonight", "We don't know where we're going, but it's on a bigger plane." SUMMARY: This song has no meaning. I tried... but nothing! The part about the Wall of Death was suspiciously fitting, though.
