all of it. even if you don't like every song its an amzing body of work that they have. i think there is something for everyone. and even though you find influences of others this sound is unique and undefinable. love it all man love it all. |

i agree. its about levels. everyone comes down one way or the other and then we can all chat bitterly and without purpose or meaning. |

I think he really is telling a story about a man. one that you can see in your mind as the song plays. drunk and stumbling he drives to the open desert firing his gun and telling god this means war. a small angry drunk man. ah, it makes me want to write a short story about him. |

here here. ahem six years later. as long as the product is true its no sell out. i have been a huge fan for a while and its nice to see them get some recognition for their genius.it does bother me when ppl say they love them and have only heard this one album, but you know everyone has to start someday. i doubt many ppl have been fans of their favorite bands since the get go. the over-all goal is to love and enjoy the music. who cares if it is "underground" or mainstream. its all just adding to the secularism of everyday life....wow, getting off my soap box now. |

I think this is just the general woes of someone extraordinary stuck in white collar suburban america. you've got this and that and that means the end. He looks at the people around him and sees them in a sad satirical light, but he can't express this to anyone. once again i tihnk Isaac took some of his wonderful internal dialouge and turned it into musical gold. |

um, an 8-ball is a measurment term for cocaine. or i guess meth, but i don't think he is reffering to that. i should think Isaac has had some experience with cocaine, and I'm thankful for the resulting musical genius. |

I can just see Isaac walking down the road and some how we are able to hear his internal monologue, this song. A girl passes him and warily eyes his dog, and his bitter thoughts about how it won't but probably should bite her. aahhh, beautiful. |

I don't think the college part is really about what the writer or narrator is thinking. I think Isaac is kind of making fun of all these kids thinking, they'll go to college and learn some stuff and change the world! When in all actuality they won't do much of anything. at least that’s what I got from it.
in the last part I think he is referring to all those couples who are no longer in love but stay together because they don't know how to be on there own. I think he was reveling in that kind of clean honesty. Long after the damage has been done, you know.
