This song is obviously about the late great elvis presley. This song is basically saying elvis presley sold his soul. The opening set of lyrics talks about the discovering of when he passed away, the second set of lyrics saying he sold his soul. the chorus im taking it as "would you have killed yourself if you knew what hell was gonna be like? would you have killed more time" being would you have tried to stick around. personally i love this song, however i hate the message on this one, however almost what aiden always sings about is death.. i suppose i should have seen this one coming |

i dunno i could be wrong, aiden is the king of double meanings.. however this song kinda sounds like hitler and his slaughtering of the jews. "text books, pyscho analyze my shame" the second time it says "take em to the ghetto's" not "gallows". Think about it.. |

actually i dont think everyone might see the song as i do. i believe this song is riddled with tons of double meanings. It sounds to me like somebody over dosing and an entity, or spirit comes to collect. almost like a grim reaper of sort. The song seems almost like a possession taking place and on the bridge where he says "the last night you were here, your words so meaningful, with reprise we suffer, i thought your ruse were so fake." could be be implying christ? |

I think wiL is basically straight forward with this song. I dont necessarily think they put too many double meanings or subliminal lines like a lot of the other songs they write. such a catchy chorus.. |
